Flow Industry has developed and launched a series of automotive start-stop batteries that use automotive-grade lithium iron phosphate batteries with built-in intelligent BMS management systems. They have core advantages such as safety, reliability, small size, light weight, and long cycle life.

 

75Ah car battery advantages:

1. Super long life

The cycle life of lead-acid batteries is generally 250~300 times, and the cycle life of this lithium iron phosphate battery is about 3000 times. If the vehicle is parked for a long time without starting, the battery of the car will be exhausted, and the lead-acid battery will be scrapped. The lithium iron phosphate battery can still be used normally after charging without affecting its lifespan.

2. Ensure safety

The main component of lithium iron phosphate battery is iron, which is not easy to catch fire and explode just like the main component of lead-acid battery is lead.

3. Improve power and reduce fuel consumption

The internal resistance of the battery is low, the output current is large, the electric spark of the spark plug is large, the ignition speed is fast, and the fuel is fully burned. The peak horsepower is increased by about 4.5%, and the peak torque is increased by about 3%. The fuel consumption of lithium iron phosphate batteries is 5% lower than that of lead-acid batteries.

4. High energy density
The same volume of lithium iron phosphate has 50% more capacity than lead acid, and the same volume of lithium iron phosphate has 70% less weight than lead acid.

5. Good high temperature performance

The electric heating peak of lithium iron phosphate can reach 350°C~500°C.

Lithium manganese oxide and lithium cobalt oxide are around 200°C.

The operating temperature range of lithium iron phosphate is -20°C~80°C.

The working temperature range of lead-acid batteries is -20°C~50°C.

6. Reduce vehicle weight

Lithium iron phosphate batteries weigh 70% less than lead-acid batteries, and the reduced weight allows cars to accelerate faster and consume less fuel.

7. Improve sound quality

The internal resistance of the battery is low, and the transient output power is large, which fully meets the stringent requirements for instantaneous high-current power supply when the audio is large and dynamic, making the mid-bass thicker and the treble more transparent

8. Scientific environmental protection

Lithium iron phosphate battery does not contain heavy metals and rare metals, non-toxic, non-polluting, in line with European RoHS regulations, waste batteries can be recycled and reused

9. Safe and reliable

Built-in intelligent BMS management system, with multiple protection functions such as overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature, overload, short circuit protection, etc., to avoid battery damage caused by overcharge and overdischarge, and durable.

 

Stop-start systems help reduce CO2 emissions:
EU regulations on reducing CO2 emissions stipulate that private cars can only emit 95 grams of CO2 per kilometer by 2021. From 2025, this limit will drop to between 69 and 78 grams. For comparison: In 2015, car models emitted an average of 130 grams of carbon monoxide per kilometer.

The United States and China are also committed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the coming years. While U.S. CO2 emissions in 2015 were 163 grams of CO2 per kilometer, by 2021 the figure should be just 124 grams. By 2025, the goal is to reduce CO2 emissions to 99 grams per kilometer.

In 2015, private cars in China emitted 161 grams of climate-damaging carbon dioxide per kilometer. In 2020, the value should be just 117 grams per kilometer.

Due to the differences in emissions between compact cars, sports cars and large cars, the limits cover the entire European fleet. The average weight of all vehicles of a car manufacturer in its range is used as the basis for calculating the manufacturer’s relevant limit value. If the limit value is exceeded, a fine will be imposed. Ecologically beneficial innovations by manufacturers that help reduce CO2 emissions have a positive impact on the limit value. These include solar cells on the roof, and an exhaust heat recovery system.

Depending on driving style, stop-start technology can achieve fuel savings of up to 15%. However, the effectiveness of a system depends on many factors, including the field of use. During city trips, the automatic stop-start system switches off as soon as the engine is idling. In addition to fuel savings, this reduces CO2 emissions by 3 – 8%.
